About the exhibition:
Landscape painters Adrian and Sue Hunter travelled to a remote fjord in East Iceland for a one month residency. This exhibition is a collaboration based on their observations of an amazing physical environment close to the Arctic circle, with weather patterns vastly different to those at home in sub-tropical Queensland.
The title High Fidelity, on a practical note refers to the creative process - the seeking of a high level of creative integrity, objectivity and faithfulness to colour, light and form. This faithfulness is integral to the personal awareness of the artists’ imagination and plays differently through the individual expression of both artists.
This exhibition aims to convey to the viewer the sense of exhilaration and heightened energy in discovering and exploring new places - an experience that sustains an artist's motivation to paint landscapes.
