Jumpers & Jazz In July

2018 festival dates are 19 to 29 of July

Queensland’s quirky winter festival happens in Warwick each July. It is a major annual project for Warwick Art Gallery.  We coordinate the famous yarnbombed Tree Jumper exhibiton as well as presenting "on trend" textile art workshops and exciting contemporary exhibitions that celebrate yarn, craft and creative fun.

The first Festival was in 2004. Since then the growth and appeal of the Festival has been remarkable. The number of trees “wrapped in art” has more than doubled. Many local schools and community groups consider entering a tree jumper as a major project for the year. We also receive entries from textile artists from all over Australia. Every year a beautifully knitted entry arrives from Lincolnshire in England.

Anyone is welcome to join in the yarnbombing fun by either JOINING OUR YARNBOMBING TEAM, ENTERING IN THE TREE JUMPER EXHIBITION or SIGNING UP FOR A WORKSHOP.  The yarnbombing team are active every moth of the year so you can join the team anytime. Tree Jumper and Workshop registrations open in Febraury 2018.
